John Krenus came to Vancouver from Edmonton in the early 70’s with his parents, and brothers. Being the son of a carpenter, he quickly moved into a career of construction, and completed his apprenticeship. After successfully getting his designation, and putting in years of work into both framing and new development, John decided to use his experience to start JMK Construction - a framing company named after his first baby girl. Being the driven and forward thinking entreperneur that he was, John noticed the ‘leaky condo’ movement was fast approaching, and decided on his next venutre to capitalize on it - Common Ground Construction was born. Within a few years, Krenus Sr was managing several multi-million dollar projects, and Common Ground’s reputation as a reliable contractor was achieved.

Fast forward to today, the CG Group is a evolution of his original vision, and has now come to be the local name in construction.
